A brisk and
simply-written quarterly that fills you in on the results of our
latest market research on the behavior of SA consumers -- their
confidence, their spending patterns, their attitudes and expectations
-- and the main forces that are currently impacting on them. The
report furthermore contains the results of a quarterly survey amongst
retailers, wholesalers and motor dealers. These are interpreted
and presented in graphs and tables. Regarding retail, a distinction
is drawn between the durable, semi-durable and non-durable goods
sectors; in wholesale we distinguish between the consumer and non-consumer
goods sectors; and in motor trade between the new vehicle market,
the used vehicle market and spares.
