Pythagoras is an official journal of AMESA - the Association for Mathematics Education of South Africa, http://www.amesa.org.za. It is devoted to the improvement of Mathematics Education at all levels of education.

The aim is to present new ideas and developments that are considered to be of major importance to those working in the field of Mathematics Education. It seeks to reflect the variety of research concerns, the range of research methods employed and the variety of didactical, methodological and pedagogical issues in the teaching of Mathematics.
Pythagoras is thus intended as an academic forum for the presentation and critical discussion of current research and developments in Mathematics Education at national as well as international level.
